What do we do?
We run regular kayak touring trips and have several Pyrhana Fusions for members to use. When staying close to home, one of our favourite locations is the River Ure between Ripon and Boroughbridge, but we also paddle on the River Swale and River Ouse. For trips further afield, we regularly travel to the The Lake District where we also hold a Summer camp.
White Water Kayak
We have club members at different levels of white water ability and have a number of Dagger GT series boats for members to use. Various locations are used for whitewater paddling including Howsham Weir on the River Derwent, and for the even more adventurous, Tees Barrage International White Water Centre.
We have members of the club interested in utilising open boats and have a significant number of canoes for members to borrow. Members who prefer to paddle in canoes are welcome to join any of the kayak touring trips and we occasionally run canoeing events so all members can hone their open-boat skills.
